The Best Content Schedule For Book Bloggers
Your blog is up and running and you are happy with the way it is going. Ever wondered how often you need to post? In fact is this really something you need to put a thought to. The answer is a big yes. There needs to be a posting schedule in place with consistency in blogging frequency.
How often must one post?

The answer to this actually lies in the kind of blog you have. As we are focusing on a book blog here, I would be sharing my thoughts with regards to this. Before getting started with a schedule, here a few questions to ask oneself:
- What set of audience I am trying to target?
- Where is my content type being searched?
- What’s my comfort- weekly once, twice..?

Once you work out the answer to these questions you are in a better position to chalk out a posting schedule for the blog. Personally for my book blog, I prefer not to review more than one book a week. I am of the opinion that my readers should not be bombarded with too many book choices at one go. But this also does not mean I ignore the blog on other days. I work on content such as listicles, work on various pins for my Pinterest audience and update previous posts making it more relevant.
The importance of quality over quantity
It’s surely about quality over quantity. Irrespective of what your frequency of posting is, it is important to be consistent with quality. Frankly high quality content matters and you just can’t afford to push out a low quality post. Also freshness of content is important, which also has an impact on search engine rankings.

Is there a perfect schedule?

Well, I wouldn’t really want to say there is one. But posting often and regularly is any day better than long breaks in your posting schedule. Remember the words- out of sight out of mind. Avoid significant periods of time without posting. At the same time too often may irk your readers as well. When you have your schedule in place, stick to it as search engines love to see regular, consistent activity on a blog. Thus, make a posting schedule you can stick to. Jot down ideas and work towards keeping the blog up and running. Once you join the dots on what works for you, the simplest effort you could put is to follow it completely and sincerely.

Well written post. I try to post at least once a week but I try for more. I don’t really have a fixed schedule in place though.

Another one of your wisdom gems. I think once this challenge is over, I too am going to try out the kind of blogging schedule you have mentioned. I have the backlog of over 200 posts that I could update and republish.
