However, at the time Shiva Trilogy came into the market – there were so many other books on mythologies. I wonder what bug caught all the authors. This became the only topic people were writing about so the content became too common. These days I have given myself a break.

I had done it when I read the first in the series, “The Scion of Ikshvaku”, and somehow was left disappointed. So this time around, I decided to read it with an open mind, […]

I was a tad disappointed in this one. In fact even the oath of the Vayuputras was also a bit of a let down for me. That said, I am still amazed at the writers skill in creating something new out of something eons old. That definitely is a special skill, probably if one was a first-time Amish reader, he would find this one compelling as well!

I told him I haven’t read any reviews and your review popped up in my Twitter feed 🙂

I agree – it could have been more of a page-turner. I reviewed it here in case you want to look at another perspective.

I rate his first series higher though. Infact when Immortals of meluha came out… I simply loved it.

Only, in this case, I will ignore the language shortcomings. You convinced me to read it.
