Sounds like an interesting book. I wasn’t in India in 1993 but remember hearing so much about it while growing up {we returned in 1994}.

I have lived through this. I remember the terror, of my Mom driving frantically to pick my little brother from school, all of us pacing on the roads till each member of our family reached home.
I watched the film based on this book, it was a brilliant adaptation, and I loved your review of it, Ramya.

I can’t bring myself to read this book. I still remember the cold chill that gripped my heart when I saw the flames go up from my balconey. One blast was right near my girls’ school and till they came home, my heart was in my mouth.
